We didn't choose to be the generation
that saves the planet.
But here we are.
CarbonX Agri was founded with one conviction: the tools to fix the climate exist. What's missing is the will to use them at scale.
Our Story
From PRANA.GREEN to CarbonX Agri
What started as a tree-planting initiative in Rajasthan grew into something larger. We learned that trees alone won't solve the climate crisis—we need biochar, soil carbon, ocean restoration, and methane capture. We need verification, transparency, and scale. CarbonX Agri is that evolution.
“In 2023, our team planted our first 1,000 trees in Rajasthan. By 2024, we'd connected 200 corporations to carbon removal projects. By 2026, we're building the infrastructure for India's carbon removal economy.”

The Problem We're Solving
Myth
Carbon offsets don't work
Reality
Transparent, monitored, impact-focused. Every project on CarbonX follows rigorous methodology and real-time tracking.
Myth
It's too expensive
Reality
₹500/tonne to start — less than a tank of petrol. Scale makes it accessible for individuals and corporations alike.
Myth
One person can't make a difference
Reality
247,000 individuals already are. Every tonne removed is a tonne that won't warm the planet.
Our Project Portfolio
Why we go beyond trees. Each project type addresses a different part of the carbon puzzle.
Trees
Afforestation & reforestation
Immediate sequestration, biodiversity, livelihoods
CO₂ potential: 2-5 tCO₂/ha/year
Biochar
Biomass pyrolysis
Permanent storage, centuries in soil
CO₂ potential: 2.5 tCO₂ per tonne biochar
Soil Carbon
Regenerative agriculture
Food security + carbon
CO₂ potential: 0.5-2 tCO₂/ha/year
Ocean
Mangrove & blue carbon
3-5x forest density, coastal protection
CO₂ potential: 8-15 tCO₂/ha/year
Methane
Capture & conversion
28x warming potential avoided
CO₂ potential: High impact per project
We don't ask you to trust us.
We ask you to trust the science.
Measurement
Every project uses IPCC-aligned methodologies. Carbon stocks are quantified through field inventories, remote sensing, and soil sampling.
IPCC Guidelines →Reporting
Transparent, public monitoring reports. You can trace every tonne from project to certificate.
Methodology docs →What does a “tonne of CO₂” actually mean?
One tonne of CO₂ is roughly the emissions from driving 4,000 km in a car, or one long-haul flight. The average Indian emits about 2 tonnes per year. Removing one tonne means one tonne less in the atmosphere—permanently, when done right.
The People Behind the Mission
Dr. Priya Sharma
Chief Environmental Scientist
“Every tonne we remove is a tonne that won't warm our children's world.”
Ananya Krishnan
Head of Technology
“Blockchain isn't buzzword here. It's how we prove every rupee reaches the ground.”

Our Commitment
We commit to transparency in every transaction. To permanence in every tonne. To additionality in every project. The planet cannot wait. Neither can we.
Transparency
Every rupee traced. Every tonne tracked. Transparent reporting, not promises.
Permanence
Carbon stays out of the atmosphere. We use methodologies that ensure it.
Additionality
Projects that wouldn't exist without carbon finance. No greenwashing.
